Recruiting information

At Occidental College we embrace the DIII model of being a student-athlete.  While we understand and accomodate the challenges of the academic rigor at our institution we seek to be consistenly competitive in the SCIAC conference and the NCAA.  Our standards are set to reflect those goals.  The incoming freshmen standards are times that would score at the SCIAC championships and the starting point times are what we feel it takes to enjoy and be successful within the training experience at Oxy.

Small 4-year, highly residential (confers bachelors degrees, FTE enrollment 1,000 to 2,999, at least 50 percent of degree-seeking undergraduates live on campus and at least 80 percent attend full time).
