Head Coach

Michael Holman, a 1996 graduate of Oswego State, was hired in 2007 as head coach of the men’s and women’s swimming and diving program. During his first six years, the Lakers have produced 15 All-American performances at the NCAA Division Championships, set 33 team records, and six SUNYAC records. Holman recently guided the men’s and women's teams to sixth-place finishes at the 2016 SUNYAC Championships. A four-year member of the Oswego State men’s swimming team, Holman held the school record in the 400-yard individual medley during his years as a Laker. Before returning to Oswego State, Holman served as the head coach of the Clinton Swim Club and as an assistant coach at Hamilton College. He has 18 total years of coaching experience in which he has trained age group, high school, and collegiate swimmers. Holman earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from SUNY Oswego and received a master’s degree in sport management from Western Illinois University in 1999
