A native of Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, James attended LakeView Technology Academy and played volleyball at Tremper High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he majored in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise and Movement Science and received a certificate in Promoting Activity for Diverse Abilities. James is currently a Personal Trainer in the Fitness Department of the RecPlex and works with multiple sports teams.
