Eliana Wallock joined the Hobart and William Smith swimming & diving coaching staff prior to the start of the 2023-24 academic year. A two-time NCAA Division III Diving Championship qualifier, Wallock will serve as the diving coach for the Statesmen and Herons. A 2023 graduate of Ithaca College, Wallock finished fourth on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at the 2020 Liberty League Championships. She placed in the top 10 on both boards at the NCAA Diving Regional, but didn’t get the opportunity to compete in the national championship meet which was canceled due to the pandemic. Wallock was named an All-American on both boards and a Scholar All-American by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America that year. All-America teams for diving that season were based on video evaluation of divers. During her junior year, Wallock finished third at the Liberty League Championships on both boards. A week later, she won the NCAA Regional Championship on the 3-meter board, besting a teammate by just 0.10, and placed third on the 1-meter board to earn a second NCAA Championship bid. Wallock finished in the top 25 in both events at the national meet. Wallock missed her senior season due to injury. She earned a bachelor’s degree in public and community health. Wallock minored in health policy and management and coaching. Wallock is a certified water safety instructor. She holds additional certifications in CPR and first aid.
