Recruiting information

Thank you for your interest in swimming at Mines!   Due to the popularity of our school and location, we have a lot of interested swimmers, but we keep our roster at an efficient size - thus, earning a roster spot at Mines is very competitive.   Here is what we look for in swimmers we invite to join our team - in order of importance:

1.  Character.  Team culture is THE most important aspect of our team.  We look for authentic, kind, collaborative, well-rounded and fun-loving people who get along with with a variety of people and personalities and have a strong passion and love for the sport of swimming.

2. Academics.  Do you want to be in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) field?  Are you prepared to take rigorous coursework?  You must have a GPA 3.4 or above.  Test scores are optional.

3. Swimming.  We are looking for swimmers who have Futures Time standards (or at least close) in 3 or more events.  We are also looking for swimmers who will score in the top 8 of their best 3 events at our RMAC conference meet.
