Recruiting information

We've labeled our "Incoming Freshmen" time standards as times that would score at our conference championships (W - Mountain West, M - Western Athletic).  Scoring times would be a starting point for potential scholarship money.  There is not an exact proportion of "times to scholarship" because there are other factors such as: academic GPA, academic scholarships, training background, swimming technique, swim time improvement, character recommendations, and others.

Our "Starting Point" time standards are times we look at as potential walk-on positions.  These times would keep you competitive with the rest of the team and being able to train at a DI level.  These are flexible depending on talent potential, time improvement, and coaches recommendations.  However, any times at these standards or slower should expect to walk-on and base financial aid on academic scholarships only.

Large 4-year, primarily nonresidential (confers bachelors degrees, FTE enrollment over 9,999, less than 25 percent of degree-seeking undergraduates live on campus and/or less than 50 percent attend full time).
