I connected with coach Dacus on both his approach to practice and openess to me training across all strokes and distances until we find how I can best help the team. The athletic fit is pefect for me: I can contribute to the team right away and the Midwest Conference has some strong competition. I like the size of the team (small to mid-size). Even though Monmouth is a smaller school it has a great pool and training facilities. Between the merit- and need-based aid I received, 3/4 of all my costs each year will be covered. There are a lot of outstanding academic opportunities (this summer I'm taking part in a lightning research program). The small teacher to student ratio allows for a lot of interaction with my professors. Roll Scots!
I chose Monmouth College because I believe it is going to be the best fit for both my academic career and my swimming career. I loved the team environment and the campus atmosphere.
