Jason Weber begins his 17th year as the head men’s and women’s swimming coach at the University of Chicago in 2022-23. During his 16-year tenure, Weber has guided the men's team to a 71-40 mark in dual meets while compiling a 80-33 mark with the women's squad. Weber's teams, which have been nationally-ranked each of the past 16 seasons, have produced 431 All-American and 556 All-University Athletic Association performances since 2007. Weber's swimmers and divers hold all 48 UChicago school records. The historic 2021-22 season featured a sixth-place finish by the women and a seventh-place showing by the men at the NCAA Division III Championships. Six Maroon men won a school-record four individual national titles: Winston Chen (400-yard Medley Relay); Garrett Clasen (200-yard IM / 400-yard Medley Relay); Arthur Kiselnikov (400-yard Medley Relay) and Jesse Ssengonzi (100-yard Butterfly / 400-yard Medley Relay). The UChicago women also won a national championship with Elizabeth Cron on the one-meter dive. In total, 30 Maroons picked up 63 All-American awards. Garrett Clasen was voted UAA Men's Swimmer of the Year and Elizabeth Cron was named UAA Women's Diver of the Year. In 2017, both UChicago swimming and diving squads placed 11th at the NCAA Championships. Seventeen swimmers and divers combined to earn 40 All-American honors. At the conclusion of 2016, UChicago's men and women both finished 14th at the NCAA Championships. A total of 16 swimmers earned 42 All-American awards during the meet. The women's team finished 13th and the men's team placed 14th at the NCAA Division III Championships, and the Maroons came away with 41 All-American awards over the course of the meet. The highlight of the meet was supplied on the final day when the 400-yard freestyle relay (Mantim Lee, Thomas Meek, Jeremy Estes, Matthew Veldman) won the national championship. In 2014, Weber guided the men's team to a second-place finish and led the women's squad to a third-place showing at the UAA Championships.
