Head Coach, Women's Swimming

Beth DeLaRosby begins her 13th year as head women's swimming and diving coach in 2020-21 (58-18 dual-meet record, 12 years). She has led the Lady Reds to top-10 finishes at the NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming Championship her first three years. DeLaRosby was named CCIW “Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year” in 2009, 2010, 2018, 2019 and 2020. A native of Two Harbors, Minn., DeLaRosby was an assistant swimming coach at Springfield College in 2006-07 and 2007-08. Prior to that, she served as an assistant coach at Wheaton College (Mass.) in 2005-06. DeLaRosby attended Gustavus Adolphus College, where she earned College Swimming Coaches Association of America First-Team All-America honors in both 2004 and 2005, placing third in the 50-freestyle in 2004 and tying for sixth place in the same event in 2005. DeLaRosby graduated from Gustavus Adolphus in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice, and she received her master’s degree in physical education from Springfield in 2008. In addition to her duties as swimming coach, DeLaRosby serves as aquatics director for Carthage’s Koenitzer Aquatic Center.

Seth Weidmann

Head Coach, Men's Swimming

Seth Weidmann (32-4 dual-meet record), a five-time College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year, is in his seventh season as head coach in 2020-21. An active member of the Carthage community, Weidmann serves as the athletic department’s NCAA Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID) and co-chairs the Carthage Athletics Advocacy Task Force. He has served on Carthage's Equity and Inclusion Committee since 2017 and the Carthage Staff Council since 2018, representing athletics. Seth’s community participation reaches beyond campus as a member of the Kenosha Coalition for Dismantling Racism and the city’s Safety Around Water Coalition. Coach Weidmann’s teams have won four-straight CCIW Championships in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. His swimmers and divers have set or reset 15 CCIW records and 39 school records, amassed 65 CCIW All-Conference honors, 43 NCAA qualifying standards and 20 individual Scholar All-American honors. Collectively, the teams have been recognized as a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team in every semester since Seth's arrival in 2014. The 2019-20 season was no exception to that success, as the Carthage 200 freestyle relay team of juniors Ethan Hare, Mitchell Mages, Nick Nevins and Mitchel Steinke landed on the CSCAA All-American Team. Additionally, Hare, Nevins, Steinke and senior Cooper Hawkins made it onto the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team, senior diver Connor Pierson tallied his highest career finish at NCAA Diving Regionals, and Mages added individual All-American honors in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Mages also earned three prestigious individual awards; Carthage Falduto Athlete of the Year, CCIW Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Year and CCIW Most Valuable Swimmer of the Meet at the conference championships. Prior to his time at Carthage, Weidmann spent nine years at the YWCA Evanston/North Shore as Head Senior Coach and Community Outreach Manager. He was an active member of the YWCA’s Equity & Inclusion Team and Illinois Swimming’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, along with serving as head coach for Team Illinois at USA Swimming’s Central Zone Multi-Cultural/Diversity Meet. Coach Weidmann was a founding organizer of Evanston Swims, a community collaboration that offers water safety and swim instruction to Evanston second graders at no cost to their families. A native of Skokie, Ill. and graduate of Evanston Township High School, Weidmann attended Gustavus Adolphus College, graduating in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. As a swimmer for Gustavus Adolphus, Weidmann was a three-time Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titlist and a CSCAA All-American. He holds a master's degree (M.Ed.) in Leadership in Education from Carthage College. Seth and his wife, Emily, live in Kenosha.
Christina Reif

Christina Reif

Diving Coach

Christina Reif enters her fifth season as Carthage's men’s and women’s diving coach in 2020-21. Under Reif's guidance, Carthage divers have gone on to be CCIW titlists and NCAA Regional qualifiers in each of her four seasons. Prior to Carthage, Reif dove collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she was a four-year letterwinner a three-time All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree and a three-time NCAA Division III regional qualifier in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Reif spent two season’s, 2010-11 and 2011-12, as an assistant at her alma mater, Kenosha Bradford High School, where she was a state qualifier as a competitor in high school. A native of Racine, Wis., Reif graduated from the Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2016 where she spent six semesters on the dean's list and received her bachelor's degree in psychology.
