This is Coach Caesar's 9th season as a coach, coaching at all levels from the USA swimming level, to high school and collegiate. His coaching style reflects his passion for his swimmers and drive for success. Originally from the West Philadelphia area, Coach Caesar started his swimming career as a USA club swimmer for 12 years. A former Navy SEAL candidate, Caesar emphasizes physical development and strength for all his athletes to prevent injuries and increase performance output in the water. Year III: 23-24 "ADELANTE" In the program’s third season, the men’s swim team won the 2024 NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championship. The program finished out the season with 17 NAIA Individual All-Americans and 12 National Champion events, breaking 4 National Records in the process. The program also posted the highest program GPAs in history (Women – 3.54, Men – 3.37) while also having 20 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes (3.5 cum GPA with minimum 60 credits) on the women’s side, the highest number out of any NAIA Women’s Swim program. Both teams earned CSCAA Scholar All-American honors. The Bobcat men brought home 9 National Titles, 6 individual and 3 relays. The men’s 800-yard and 400-yard freestyle relays also broke the NAIA National Records, with times of 6:30.18 and 2:56.22 respectively. Women’s Swimming finished as National Runner-Up, scoring 405 points with 3 National Titles and 2 National Records. Stella Warborn highlighted the season taking home the program’s first ever Sun Conference Swimmer of the Year honor. She won the NAIA National Championship and broke both NAIA National Records in the 100-yard and 200-yard breastroke, 1:01.41 and 2:14.18 respectively. The women’s team also won their first relay national title in the women’s 200-yard freestyle. Year II: 22-23 "AXIOS" The 2022 - 2023 season was one of the most successful in St. Thomas University Athletics' history. 6 National Champion events, including the university's first ever woman to win a national title (Taylor Fitzgerald - Women's 100-yard backstroke). The men finished as the National Runner-Up, breaking 2 NAIA National Records in the process. Both teams also earned CSCAA Scholar All-American Status, with the women's team having a cumulative GPA of 3.55, and a 3.17 for the men. Coach Asadi was named the university's first ever National Coach of the Year. Year I: 21-22 "EXTREME OWNERSHIP" Caesar led the Bobcats to a historic first season (21-22), with the university's 1st ever National Champion in the school's 60-year history and 11 NAIA All-Americans. He led the men's team to a 4th place finish at the National Championship in their inaugural season. Both the men's and women's teams placed 3rd at the Sun Coast Conference Championship. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, he was named Back to Back Miami-Dade Swim Coach of the Year for the 20-21/21-22 seasons where he led his high school boys' team to their first ever state title in the Boys' 200 yard Freestyle relay, the first in school history. His team finished the highest overall of any team from Miami-Dade County in the FHSAA Swimming & Diving State Championship in both years.
