The Denison women's team leads the 2015 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships with 88 points following Wednesday evening's women's three-meter diving competition at the Trumbull Aquatics Center on the campus of Denison University. Allegheny sits in second with 52 points, followed by DePauw (41), Kenyon (35), Wittenberg (30), Oberlin (26), Wooster (24), Ohio Wesleyan (NS) and Hiram (NS).
Kenyon junior Maria Zarka (Kanoehe, HI/Kalaheo) captured her second-straight NCAC title on the three-meter board with an NCAA regional-qualifying score of 439.20.
Denison sophomore Sarah Lopez (Vernon Hills, IL/Vernon Hills) and Wittenberg freshman Katie Black (Fort Wayne, IN/Homestead) also tallied All-Conference scores in second (404.60) and third (349.55), respectively.
The Big Red elevated to the top of the team standings after night one as the sophomore duo of Carrie Bookheimer (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and Katherine Hennigan (Manchester, MA/Essex Regional) rounded out the top-five in fourth (346.30) and fifth (336.60), respectively.
The 2015 NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships continue through Saturday evening. Preliminary events start at 10:00 a.m. both days, while finals begin at 6:30 p.m.
