The WEC Natatorium is a 25-yard championship style eight lane pool, with 1 & 3 meter diving boards. NJIT's Natatorium was designed to have a top of the line air quality system and maximum natural light. Highlighted features of the WEC Natatorium include Xcellerator starting blocks with reaction pads and adjustable back wedges, championship style Colorado Timing System, LED full color video board, the 1 & 3 meter diving boards with over-water spotting rigging, an on-deck hot tub, and a 350-person spectator mezzanine.
The Natatorium is part of the Wellness & Events Center (WEC), a three-story, 220,000-square-foot building featuring a number of flexible spaces that can be quickly configured to support the numerous and varied missions of the university community. The WEC will accommodate the rapid growth of the school's athletic department, student body, and campus community. In addition to a number of conference, academic, and community facilities, the building will house a first-class basketball arena seating 3,500 fans, natatorium, locker rooms, indoor track, concessions, suites, offices, state of the art student-athlete weight and lifting area, and a student fitness center.
